Mena Alexandra Suvari (born February 13 1979) is a famous American actress fashion designer and model. In 1990, shortly following her debut as a model, she began to act in television programs such as Boy Meets World. Her film debut was in the drama Nowhere. After her performances on the screen in American Beauty (for which she was awarded the BAFTA Award) and American Pie that attracted greater attention, she began her transition into major roles. The next time she appeared was in Loser (2000), with American Pie actor Jason Biggs. She was later the lead role for the film Sugar & Spice (2002). Spun and Trauma, the thriller movie from 2004 was her second appearance. In HBO's drama series Six Feet Under. In 2004 she received an award for an Outstanding Cast member at the Screen Actors Guild Awards. Her filmography for 2008 included Day of the Dead The Mysteries of Pittsburgh, the version from The Garden of Eden and several other movies. Suvari is featured in a variety of fashion blogs and magazines as well as Vogue. She's an official Lancome model as well as appearing in print advertisements for Lancome Paris Adaptive. She's been an advocate and supporter for the African Medical and Research Foundation.
